Kahn Colosseum is an arena and a stage from Mortal Kombat series. In Outworld, Shao Kahn has his own arena outside his palace fortress where the Konqueror will sometimes battle opponents himself. There are literally thousands of spectators that come to see their emperor crush opponents in battle. When not fighting, Shao Kahn observes the fight from his throne and enjoys the ensuing battles.

Stage Info[]

Mortal Kombat II[]

Sonya Blade and Kano were captured and held in Kahn's Arena in Mortal Kombat II as prisoners forced to observe the vicious battles that took place to the delight of the blood thirsty crowd and Shao Kahn himself when not competing. Kahn's Arena also reappeared in Mortal Kombat Trilogy, however due to Sonya and Kano being playable they were removed from chains in the background.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks[]

In Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks, Kahn's Arena from MKII serves as the arena for the final battles of the game against Shang Tsung, Kintaro and Shao Kahn. The arena is depicted slightly differently; the arena is no longer a walkway, but an elevated circular platform. Although Kano and Sonya would be in chains to watch the battle, this can be altered if the player fights Kano in a secret boss fight.

Mortal Kombat (2011)[]

In Mortal Kombat (2011), Kahn's arena was renamed to "Kahn's Coliseum" which is also sometimes called "Shao Kahn's Coliseum" or just "The Coliseum". Five characters were chained in the background of E3 demo - Kira, Li Mei, Tanya, Kitana and Skarlet. The emperor is now fully animated, mocking the fighters during the fight. In addition, this version is shown to have a dirt floor instead of a concrete linear pathway used for fighting, a much larger viewing audience for the width of the arena's spectacular and violent battles, a Tormentor fending off tamers in the background, and serves as the final stage of the retelling of Mortal Kombat II in this latest entry of the series, as well as the final stage in the arcade ladder.

If Kitana and Skarlet are both used in Tag Ladder, Tanya will still be present taking Kitana's side, but no one will take Skarlet's place. Kira is however seen in the PlayStation Vita Version.

The arena itself makes a cameo appearance during Scorpion's intro in Injustice: Gods Among Us.

M.U.G.E.N: Ultimate All-Stars[]

It looks exactly the same stage from Mortal Kombat II, but the arena took place within the galaxy.

pm58790 would give special thanks to OMEGAPSYCHO for the stage.
