Lao Jiu is Litchi Faye-Ling's pet panda and one of her main sources of power.

Biography

Little is known about Lao Jiu's past before he was found by Litchi near the Boundary. It is known, however, that the Panda species is incredibly rare in the BlazBlue universe, rarer than present day pandas (although this could, most likely, be because of the damage the Black Beast wrought on the world).

After being found by Litchi, who kept him simply because she believed him to be adorable, the two became practically inseparable, with Lao Jiu always at Litchi's side (or her hair to be more precise). Throughout Continuum Shift, Kokonoe, Tager and Arakune are constantly looking out for Litchi because of her power that streams from Lao Jiu's connection with the Boundary.

Powers & Abilities

Lao Jiu could possibly be one of the more powerful beings in the BlazBlue universe due to the fact that he can stream the power of the Boundary, although at this point it is unknown if he can use it for his own needs (assuming a Panda has needs), without the need of a Grimoire and yet still retain all physical characteristics and intelligence, unlike Arakune.

However, the streaming of the power comes at a cost for those who choose to use it, as Litchi herself is beginning to deteriorate just as Arakune did. Whether Lao Jiu is aware he is slowly, but unintentionally, killing his owner is unknown at this point.
