Smoke is an ninja assassin who was turned into a cyborg in Mortal Kombat series. He first appeared in Mortal Kombat II as a unplayable character in his human form, then became a playable character in Mortal Kombat 3 in his cyborg form. He then appeared in a reboot of Mortal Kombat for the first time after two decades.

Before he became a cyborg, he wears gray clothes, a palette swap to Reptile in Mortal Kombat II.
In Mortal Kombat 3, it was a pallete swap to Sektor.
For Deception and Armageddon, he retained his cybernetic form as an alternate costume for Armageddon and primary costume for Deception. Another costume, his body is filled with smokes, but retains his cyborg mask.
For Shaolin Monks, his costume is similar to Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Mortal Kombat Trilogy, but his skin are smoked.
In MK 2011, his human form returned after two decades. few of the ninja clothings are from Mortal Kombat II and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. He also have a flowing silver hair, representing his powers.
